Case Management and the Translation
Process
Park's effectiveness in case management stems directly
from its well-trained case-management professionals. Park's case managers
have the experience and analytical skills to supervise and organize the
entire translation process. They are equipped to manage a broad array
of IP-related translation cases ranging from a small bio-tech article
to a multifaceted document discovery project to a large scale international
phase filing. Because we work with a large team of organized, precise,
and knowledgeable case managers, we are able to assign each translation
case a qualified manager who has knowledge and familiarity with the technical
field associated with each translation.
The translation process:
 |
Case is initially reviewed to ascertain
technical and linguistic complexity and then estimated. |
 |
The file is assigned to an experienced
case manager, who will oversee and monitor the entire process. |
 |
Based on subject matter, language, and
deadline, specific translators and editors will be selected. |
 |
Once the translation team is assembled,
the documents will go through an initial translation. |
 |
Upon the completion of the translation
of the case, Park will thoroughly edit the translation. |
 |
The translator will then review the edited
version and create a final translation. |
 |
Certification is then created. |
 |
A finalized version of the translation
will be saved on our secure network and sent to the client. For foreign
filing documents, many clients prefer that we send the files directly
to their foreign associates. In this instance, we place the file on
our secure ftp site for the foreign associates to download. |
